Eminem Releases Surprise Album Kamikaze — and Takes on Everyone from Trump to Harvey Weinstein

On Thursday night at midnight, 15-time Grammy-winning rapper Eminem quietly dropped a surprise album, Kamikaze — teasing the release on Twitter (with a middle finger emoji) by writing, “Tried not 2 overthink this 1… enjoy.”

The LP, his second full-length studio album in eight months and tenth total in his career, was executive produced by the rapper and longtime collaborator/mentor Dr. Dre.

Clocking in at around 45 minutes, Kamikaze contains 13 tracks — including the song “Venom,” written for the upcoming Tom Hardy-led supervillain movie of the same name. Emcees Joyner Lucas and Royce Da 5’9” as well as Canadian songstress Jessie Reyez, and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon are among the guests, while interpolations include Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble,” and L.L. Cool J’s “I’m Bad,” among others.

And the album artwork? On the front, an illustrated rudder of a jet plane seemingly in homage to the Beastie Boys’ Licensed to Ill cover. On the rear, that same jet crashing in to a wall, its pilot flipping the bird.

Of course, Eminem (née Marshall Mathers) is as outspoken as ever — Kamikaze‘s notes on Apple Music correctly tease, “Shady punches back, and he’s naming names.”

The first track, “The Ringer,” sets the tone with the declaration, “I feel like I wanna punch the world in the f—— face right now.”

From there, there are shots at President Trump (“I empathize with the people this evil serpent sold the dream to that he’s deserted”), Vice President Mike Pence, Harvey Weinstein, Machine Gun Kelly, Joe Budden, Tyler, the Creator, and young rappers like Lil Pump, Lil Xan and Lil Yachty — the latter who Eminem slams by asking, “Do you have any idea how much I hate this choppy flow everyone copies?”

Eminem

Music critics and the Grammy Awards are also targeted, both for slamming his previous album, 2017’s Revival (which hit at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts).

“Are you really going just to deride everybody who, you don’t like what they have to say about you or the stuff you’re working on?” Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, asks on one of two “skit” tracks — which appear to just be recorded voicemail messages. “I don’t know if that’s really a great idea, it’s like what’s next? ‘Kamikaze 2: the album where you reply to everybody who didn’t like the album that you made replying to everybody that didn’t like the previous album?’ It’s a slippery slope, I don’t know if it’s really a good idea.”

RELATED VIDEO: Eminem Raps His Regrets to Daughter Hailie, Including Near-Fatal OD and Public Feud With Ex Kim

But Slim Shady’s anger isn’t all targeted outwards.

“Stepping Stone,” arguably the LP’s most autobiographical track, sees the father reflecting on his personal demons — including the death of his former D12 bandmate Proof.

“Imma wash away my sins / Imma rinse away this dirt,” he sings. “I forgot to make amends / To all the friends I may have hurt.”

Kamakaze is available for streaming on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, and other digital providers.

Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves Reunite to Reveal the Pros and Cons of Being '90s Icons

working together in four films, a fictitious marriage and ’90s stardom.

Now appearing in the unconventional romantic comedy Destination Wedding, the two longterm pals recently opened up to PEOPLE about the pros and cons of being ’90s icons and what brought them together for their fourth film.

<em>Destination Wedding</em>

While discussing their favorite films of each other’s, they also revealed what get recognized for most these days. For Reeves, 53, it’s the John Wick franchise. For Ryder, 46, it’s Stranger Things. But “I do still get [recognized for] Beetlejuice,” she said. “Which was so long ago!”

“You’re in a generational classic,” Reeves said of the 1988 Michael Keaton-led cult hit. “You’re like a classic, a legend.”

Winona Ryder circa 1990

Ryder, taking Reeves’ compliments in stride, countered that living through the ’90s as the “icons” in question isn’t all it’s been celebrated to be.

“There’s all this nostalgia for the 90s,” she said. “But when you lived through it, it’s very different.”

Ryder, whose memorable performances in ’90s films like Little Women, Edward Scissorhands and Reality Bites, elevated her to the icon status, playfully brushes off the label.

“Hey, Reeves, I’m just feeling really iconic today,” she play-acted with a pretend phone call to Reeves, who was sitting right next to her. “Do you want to go do something right now?”

“What’s up Ryder?” he mimed back. “Yeah. What do you want to [do]?”

Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves

Speaking of their fourth big screen outing, Destination Wedding, Ryder said it was her idea to approach Reeves to be her costar. The two actors play cynical, mostly miserable guests at a destination wedding who end up attracted to each other.

“I emailed him, and luckily I saved that, I don’t pass on scripts [to friends] often,” she recalled. “I didn’t think the chances of him being available were necessarily going to be good, but I knew that once I got him in my head I couldn’t imagine anybody else. And I was so happy, because he responded.”

“It’s because you have great taste,” Reeves said. “We made a nice, funny and smart film. And something that I think gives back to the audience.”

Destination Wedding opens in limited release Aug. 31, and expands to more theaters and VOD on Sept. 7.

Taylor Swift's Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Suits Up for Venice Film Festival Carpet with Emma Stone

As the country singer prepared to take the stage of her Reputation Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota, her British actor boyfriend Joe Alwyn was overseas — walking the red carpet of the 75th Venice Film Festival.

Alwyn, 27, was on hand for the premiere of his upcoming film, The Favourite, which he stars in alongside Emma Stone, Olivia Colman and Nicholas Hoult.

The group looked glamorous as they posed together with director Yorgos Lanthimos for photographers — Alwyn in a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and flat black bow tie.

Stone, 29, wore a blush, embroidered long-sleeve Louis Vuitton gown with a plunging neckline, while Colman, 44, looked sleek in a two-piece black number with a flowing cape. Hoult, 28, and Lanthimos, 45, both also wore tuxedos — the former in blue and the latter in black.

Dating since late 2016, the couple have kept their relationship tightly under wraps. Neither have spoken publicly about the romance, but Alwyn and his family have been supporting Swift at her shows over the last year.

In July, they also retreated to a luxury resort in Turks and Caicos and were photographed strolling on the beach and frolicking in the water.

Most of Reputations love songs — including “Gorgeous” and “Call It What You Want” — appear to be inspired by Alwyn. And her latest single, “Delicate,” and the sexy song “Dress” also shed light on the start of their low-key relationship.

“Flashback to when you met me / Your buzz cut / And my hair bleached,” sings Swift on “Dress,” possibly referencing the haircut Alwyn sported while filming Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk. The superstar had her hair bleached for a few months in the spring of 2016, and both stars attended the Met Gala that May.

“She seems to be in a great place both career and love wise,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “Joe is just an amazing boyfriend. He is very supportive. Taylor adores his family. She’s in a very good place.”

Serena and Venus Williams Will Face Off at the U.S. Open This Week

A sibling rivalry for the ages will continue on Friday when Serena Williams and Venus Williams face off at the U.S. Open in Queens.

The sisters — Serena seeded 17th and Venus 16th — will play each other in the third round of the Grand Slam tournament.

On Monday, Serena, 36, defeated Magda Linette. The next day, she bested German player Carina Witthöft. In her first round match, Venus, 38, was victorious over Svetlana Kuznetsova. And on Wednesday, she won over Camila Giorgi.

The winner of Friday’s match will move on to the round of 16.

Friday will mark the 30th time that Serena and Venus have competed against each other in their careers, and the 16th time that they have played each other at Grand Slams.

The first time? Back in 1998, when Venus shut down Serena in the Australian Open’s second round.

Serena has won six U.S. Open singles championships, while Venus has won two, according to the Chicago Tribune.

“I wouldn’t say it’s exciting,” Serena said, according to The New York Times. “But it’s definitely going to be a really tough match for me. Once again, it’s early in the tournament. You know, it is what it is.”

“Unfortunately and fortunately we have to play each other,” Serena continued. “We make each other better. We bring out the best when we play each other. It’s what we do. So, I think we’re used to it now.”

Serena and Venus have been sharing their love of the game for a long time.

In a 1991 interview with Today, the girls’ mother Oracene Price said of her then-rising star daughters, “Sometimes I feel just like it was destiny, you know, for the both of them. Because my first three girls, they went out, they didn’t take to it. But the last two, they liked it a great deal.”

Brad Pitt Looks Like a '60s-Era Stud While Filming Quentin Tarantino's New Movie

The 54-year-old actor was seen filming Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Wednesday wearing white flared jeans with boots and a simple black shirt tucked into his belted pants. He was also wearing a wig to make his blonde locks longer.

The highly-anticipated movie also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie and is set in 1969 Los Angeles. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place in the time period of the Manson murders and will be released on July 26, 2019, just two weeks before the date of the killing spree that claimed the lives of five victims, including starlet Sharon Tate.

The production will feature DiCaprio, 43, as Rick Dalton, the former star of a western TV series, and Pitt as his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. They’re both struggling to survive in a Hollywood they no longer recognize, although one person they do recognize is Rick’s next-door neighbor: Sharon Tate, played by Robbie, 28.

Brad Pitt filming <em>Once Upon a Time in Hollywood</em>

Pitt has been spotted filming around Los Angeles recently in the midst of his custody battle with ex Angelina Jolie. The two have been negotiating the terms of their divorce and custody agreement for their six kids — Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Their children spent much of the summer with Jolie in London as she filmed Maleficent 2, while Pitt has been in Los Angeles. In the last few weeks, Jolie and the kids have been back in L.A. They recently agreed to maintain a custody agreement from earlier this summer.

In June, a judge working on their divorce proceedings set up a schedule that would allow Pitt to spend more time with his children — or Jolie would risk losing custody.

“Their parenting approach was always very different,” a source told PEOPLE previously. “Since their separation, it’s been obvious that they weren’t going to figure things out on their own when it comes to the kids.”

Inside Daryl Hannah and Neil Young's 'Intimate' Wedding Ceremony on Yacht

— the first on his yacht in Washington State, the second last week in California.

Ron Fugere, a local boat captain in the San Juan islands, tells PEOPLE he watched a “small, intimate gathering” take place on Young’s 1913 vintage boat, the W.N. Ragland, on July 27.

“I saw a boat down at the end of the dock that I hadn’t recognized from a distance so I thought I’d walk down and see what boat it was,” Fugere says. He serves as captain of NorthWest Sailing Adventures.

Fugere, who was with a friend, spotted Young inside the pilot house of the 101-foot yacht.

A couple of days later, Fugere noticed people aboard Young’s yacht. “[I] thought, ‘Gosh, that looks like a wedding!’ We got out the binoculars and looked and sure enough, it looked like a wedding going on.”

The alleged union marks Young’s third marriage—the former Buffalo Springfield singer was married to first wife, Susan Acevedo, between 1968-1970, and then was married to Pegi Young for 36 years before divorcing her in 2014, the same year he began dating Hannah.

Hannah, 57, has dated high-profile stars like John F. Kennedy Jr. and Jackson Browne in the past, but has never been married before.

Daryl Hannah and Neil Young

“All we could really see was the officiant and the couple because we were some distance away,” Fugere says. “They threw some flower petals and wrapped it up.”

“Shortly after the sunset, then, of course, the blood moon rose,” he says — which was fitting for the “Harvest Moon” singer. “It’s kind of an exciting time.”

Page Six reports that Young and Hannah had a larger ceremony for 100 guests, including Joni Mitchell and Stephen Stills, near San Luis Obispo, California on Aug. 24.

While the couple has yet to confirm the news, their fans and friends congratulated them on social media after rumors swirled the pair had tied the knot.

Young, 72, and Hannah, sparked rumors when she shared a cryptic caption on Instagram Sunday alongside a picture of a white owl overhead.

“Someone’s watching over us…. Love & only love,” Hannah wrote.

The pair went public as a couple in 2014.

Patricia Arquette seemingly congratulated Hannah in the comment section.

“You are the whisperer to all the animals…birds and bees follow you and protect you,” she wrote. “What a beautiful time of love and magic.”

CNN commentator Sally Kohn also hinted at the nuptials with her comment saying she was “so sorry not to be there.”

Daryl Hannah

During an interview in March to promote their movie Paradox, in which Hannah directed Young, the singer gushed he’s “very lucky.”

“We’re very lucky to have found each other. I’m eternally thankful for the opportunity to share my life with her, and she feels the same,” he told Yahoo.

After Hannah and Young became public shortly after Young ended his longtime marriage to Pegi Young, the couple faced criticism from friends, Young said, including his former bandmate David Crosby.

“When we got together, even some of my good friends were negative about it, and I could never understand it,” Young recalled. “[Daryl is] a wonderful human being, and I’m very lucky to know her. That’s all I was thinking.”

Two Queens! The Crown's Elizabeths — Claire Foy and Olivia Colman — Hit Venice Film Festival

Both actresses behind The Crown‘s Queen ElizabethClaire Foy, 34, and Olivia Colman, 44 — graced the film festival on Thursday looking downright regal.

Foy wore a sleeveless, collared black and white frock with white heels and styled her brunette hair in a cute coif. Colman opted for a white necklace and a chic black pantsuit with billowing sleeves. Strappy gray sandals completed her look.

Foy was in Venice for First Man, while Colman attended the photocall for The Favourite.

Colman Foy

Foy, who played the lead on the Netflix drama for its first two seasons, is passing the role to Colman as the entire cast changes to portray the plot’s jump forward in time. Each season spans about a decade of royal history.

RELATED: See Tobias Menzies as The Crown‘s New Prince Philip for the First Time

Other transitions in the cast include Tobias Menzies becoming Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter starring as Princess Margaret, Josh O’Connor becoming Prince Charles, Marion Bailey taking on the role of the Queen Mother and Erin Doherty becoming Princess Anne.

In July, Netflix released the first photo of Colman as the Queen. In a pink suit and a set of pearls, Colman sat down for a cup of tea. The caption read, “Patience.”

In November 2017, Foy offered some advice in emmy magazine to her successor. She advised Colman, “Make sure you take care of yourself and don’t get too tired.”

“When you are doing a long-run show like that and it’s nine months per season, it’s hard work, long hours, long weeks, long months,” she continued. “It’s important to take time to get sleep.”

Matt Smith, the previous Prince Philip on the show, also offered some words of wisdom to Menzies. On The Late Late Show with James Corden in August, Smith quipped that he told Menzies “Don’t do it,” before adding, “I told him a good book to read by Philip Eade called Young Prince Philip.”

He continued, “I just said, ‘God, make sure they pay you enough — and make sure it’s even.’ ” Smith was referencing the controversy in March, when it was revealed that Foy was paid less than Smith.

Riverdale Season 3 Trailer Teases New Serpent Member and Plenty of Bughead Makeouts

A teaser for season 3 of the hit teen drama dropped on Wednesday — and it seems Archie isn’t the only one in trouble.

Picking up where season 2 left off, the clip shows Archie (KJ Apa) in handcuffs after being falsely arrested for murder.

But shortly after, he is seen in bed with girlfriend Veronica (Camila Mendes), suggesting that Archie’s doesn’t stay in jail long. And despite any legal issues, Veronica is standing by her man.

“We will survive whatever you have planned, because we are endgame!” Veronica yells at her dad, Hiram (Mark Consuelos).

The trailer also features Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) looking stronger than ever.

Meanwhile, as Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Betty settle into their new roles as Southside Serpents, Archie is seen sporting a Serpent tattoo.

But of course, things can never run too smoothly in Riverdale. The kids seem to have a new villain with a horned figure and a potential cult.

“Help! Somebody, help!” Jughead yells in the woods, as the teaser comes to a close.

Jennifer Garner on How She Became an Action 'Machine' for Peppermint

The star, 46, brings Riley North to life in this action drama about a mother seeking justice after her husband and daughter are killed in a drive-by shooting.

Garner opens up about playing Riley, saying in the clip, “I was excited right from the jump. The first time I read the script for Peppermint because it’s an original story and there’s a strong woman at the middle.”

“My character, Riley, watches this happen in front of her. She sees the people who killed her family,” Garner says. “She discovers the police and the people who should be helping her are all on the wrong side of the law.”

In a sequence of intense action scenes in which the actress punches, shoots and maims her family’s killers, Garner shows audiences she was deep into her character.

Jennifer Garner as Riley North in <em>Peppermint</em>

“She just shuts down her heart, goes into hiding and spends the next five years becoming a machine,” she says.

“She immediately takes matters into her own hands to make sure those people are brought to justice,” the mother of three continues. “The fact that she just says I’m a mom, I’m taking care of this and I’m going to do what I need to do. That, I’m inspired by. I’ve never gotten the chance to play that kind of visceral need to defend, or protect or take care of someone in your family.”

As for how she trained for those killer action sequences, Garner reveals she immersed herself into physical training.

“I’ve been training for a while on this. I did MMA skills, gun skills, knife skills. It was the connection to the physical that made me kind of understand her fight for her daughter,” she says.

RELATED: Jennifer Garner Returns to the Red Carpet in a Little Black Dress at Peppermint Premiere

Director Pierre Morel was impressed by Garner’s aptitude for the physically strenuous scenes she filmed herself.

“She was very physical, she was very fit — even before we started training,” Morel says. “She was dead-on, ready to go for it. The fact that everything is done by the actor is key.”

Garner adds, “The action is smart and the fights are smart and they’re all me. What would you fight for more than your family?”

Peppermint is in theaters Sept. 7.

Quentin Tarantino Finds His Charles Manson for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

The director’s upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place during the late ’60s and features the grisly murders committed by Manson’s followers. Australian actor Demon Herriman has been cast as the late mastermind behind the killing spree that killed five, including the 8-months-pregnant star Sharon Tate, according to The Wrap.

Herriman joins a cast of Hollywood titans, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Tarantino’s highly anticipated drama is set to be released July 26, 2019, just two weeks before the date of the 26-year-old starlet’s brutal killing.

Set in 1969 Los Angeles, the production will feature DiCaprio, 43, as Rick Dalton, the former star of a western TV series, and Pitt, 54, as his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. They’re both struggling to survive in a Hollywood they no longer recognize. Although, one person they do recognize is Rick’s next-door neighbor: Sharon Tate, played by Robbie, 28.

Though details of the film remain scarce, several of the cast members have shared first-looks of their 1960s-clad characters.

Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate

Tate was married to director Roman Polanski and was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with their first child — a boy — when she was stabbed repeatedly in her home by Manson‘s followers.

Debra Tate, Tate’s sister who owns her life rights, initially told PEOPLE she was frustrated she had not been contacted about the project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She’s since had a change of heart after the director reached out to her.

“I’m pleased he reached out,” Debra told PEOPLE about Tarantino. “He has done nothing but respect me and be very forthcoming. I have very high hopes for this project.”

Gwendolyn Quinn, a Franklin family spokeswoman, did not immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment about Grande’s addition to the line-up.

Quinn told the Free Press of Grande, “Aretha was fond of her.” She noted that Franklin’s family appreciated Grande’s tribute to Franklin, who died of pancreatic cancer at age 76, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month.

On The Tonight Show, Grande cried while singing Franklin’s hit “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

“I met her a few times. We sang at the White House, and she was so sweet, and she was so cute,” Grande told Fallon. “I was like, ‘How are you a real person?’ It’s an honor to have met her, and we’re gonna celebrate her.”

Grande continued, “She called me one time. It was one time only. She called me. She goes, ‘Hi, it’s Aretha.’ And I was like, ‘Franklin?’ ”

Even as Grande’s fans wondered if Franklin’s death would overshadow Grande’s release of her new album Sweetener, the young pop star shared two Instagram posts in honor of Franklin. “Forever,” she wrote alongside a video of Franklin singing “I Say a Little Prayer.”

Jennifer Garner Returns to the Red Carpet in a Little Black Dress at Peppermint Premiere

The actress, 46, was all smiles as she posed for photographers outside of the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 in Los Angeles for the premiere of her new action film, Peppermint — which stars Garner as a self-made killer set to avenge the brutal murders of her husband and daughter.

She looked chic in a short, one-shoulder little black dress with a long train. Garner accessorized the ensemble with diamond jewelry and coordinating strappy, sparkling sandals. She wore her hair down in light beach waves, and kept her makeup all natural with a glossy pink lip.

Garner appeared to be having fun too, sneaking away to sign some autographs for eager fans waiting outside.

Nearly a week earlier, Garner was photographed in a very different situation: driving her ex Ben Affleck, 46, to a treatment facility in Malibu on Aug. 22.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Garner’s decision to intervene and take Affleck to rehab was built around her concern for the three children they share — son Samuel Garner, 6, and daughters Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 9½, and Violet Anne, 12.

“Her number one concern is the kids,” the source said.

Garner’s kids were by her side on Aug. 20 when she received the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Peppermint marks the actress’ return to action, a genre she first made her name in as the star of ABC’s hit series, Alias. She hasn’t had a leading role in an action film since playing Elektra in 2003’s Daredevil.

Part of that absence can be attributed to taking on the role of mom. “I had done so much action and then I started having babies. It’s hard on your body,” she told Extra. “So I was pregnant. I was nursing. I was recovering from those things and it took a long time.”

Motherhood also made Garner picky when choosing roles. “I would have to decide, ‘No I actually do love this job,’ ” Garner told Variety, explaining that she took a six-month break from work after the birth of her third child in 2012 because “three kids just knocks you flat on your ass.”

Jennifer Garner

It was a phone call from her then-agent of 20 years Patrick Whitesell, however, that made her rethink her career.

“Patrick said, ‘Either this is the telephone call about you doing Dallas Buyers Club and how we’re going to make that happen, or it’s a telephone call about your retirement,’ ” Garner recalled to Variety. “That was a real moment of decision and clarity and I loved him for it because it forced me to say, ‘Okay, I am not ready to be home all the time.’ ”

These days, Garner has starred in a string of hit movies like Love, Simon and the Tribes of Palos Verdes.

But despite her regular onscreen presence, her little ones’ perception of the star remains unchanged. “They just want me to come home and be mom,” Garner told Extra.

Peppermint hits theaters September 7.

Fanning wore an eye-popping deep red dress with a pretty pink purse while Frye went with a simple white shirt and bright red shorts.

Not much is known about Fanning’s new man, but according to Frye’s Facebook page, he lives in New York and studied at the University of Vermont.

Though she’s been acting since she was 6, Fanning recently revealed that she never envisioned it would turn into a full-blown career.

“It all started so coincidentally for me,” Fanning said during Vulture and TNT’s The Alienist premiere Q&A session at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. “I did this commercial and I had a good time so I did another one, then I did a TV show which turned into a movie and then I was an actor all of sudden.”

Before meeting Frye, the actress dated model Jamie Strachan from 2013 to 2016.

BBMak Is Back! Boy Band to Reunite After 15 Years — All About Their New Music and Tour

The guitar-driven boy band — comprised of Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Stephen McNally — split in 2003 but recently began “reminiscing on old times.”

After the group, best known for their 2000 hits “Back Here” and “Still on Your Side,” recently recorded together again and posted a video to social media in April, the clip went viral — and sparked a reunion.

“Back in the day we were like brothers, and we’re dear friends still to this day because we’ve stayed in touch. We’ve seen some of the other bands come back and having a good time performing, and we missed it,” Burns tells PEOPLE exclusively about why they decided now was the perfect time to make their comeback. “We had done some songs on our own and we thought, ‘We have some songs here.’ It just felt like the right time to do it.”

During their hiatus, both Burns and McNally remained in the music industry, while Barry went into personal training. But when it came to writing together again for the first time in 15 years, Burns says it was “like we had never been away.”

“Little things in our lives have changed, but we haven’t changed,” he says. “Back in the day we could hardly touch the ground, but this time around we’re really gonna savor a bit more and really enjoy it. We’re doing it all this time on our terms.”

Christian Burns, Mark Barry and Stephen McNally

“We’re just gonna mix them all up,” Burns says about incorporating their previous rhythm into their forthcoming tunes. “Our sound is guitar-driven, three-part harmonies and that just fits in with the rest of our repertoire.”

He continues, “We haven’t changed our sound drastically — maybe a little bit — so the new songs definitely fit in with all the old stuff.”

And fans who are excited to hear “Ghost of You and Me” and “Still on Your Side” won’t be disappointed. In fact, the guys are thrilled to be playing their hits again — especially “Back Here.”

“It’s amazing! At the time the song was out we didn’t realize it was going to be such a classic,” Burns tells PEOPLE. “Billboard put us as one of the top 10 boy band songs of all time. People still hear it on the radio and TV. It was a magic song for us, so we look forward to performing it again.”

Christian Burns, Stephen McNally and Mark Barry at the height of their success

The group is set to perform three intimate shows this November in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in celebration of reuniting and as “a taste of what’s coming” before kicking off a North American tour in March of 2019.

“We’re so excited to get back on stage,” says Burns. “We’re a little nervous because it’s been 15 years, but as a whole we’re thrilled and excited to be back. We love hanging out together. We’re excited to see all the old fans again and reconnect, and to perform some new and old songs. We cannot wait to see everyone down there — it’s going to be a lot of fun!”

Tickets for BBMak’s tour go on sale this Friday, Aug. 31. Initial dates include Nov. 13 at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, Nov. 15 at Chicago’s Back Room at the House of Blues and Nov. 19 at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theatre.

Anna Kendrick Opens Up About Kissing Costar Blake Lively: We Were 'Searching for a Mint'

The 33-year-old actress stars with Lively, 31, in the upcoming film A Simple Favor in which the two share a steamy kiss. Kendrick plays Stephanie, a mommy vlogger who attempts to figure out why and how her best friend Emily (Lively) went missing.

“I mean, all I’m ever thinking about in [kissing] scenes is, who has gum? Who has a mint?” she told PrideSource in an interview. “And I think Blake is probably the same because I’ve never experienced a guy, searching for gum. So, we were the mintiest, freshest two people to have ever kissed in the history of America.”

Of her own sexuality, Kendrick said she’s kissed women in her own life and is comfortable with aspects of her sexuality.

“I definitely — there’s somebody I’m still friends with, and when we met we kissed,” Kendrick explained. “This was after high school, and it was the first time I had kissed a girl where it wasn’t just like, we’re at a party and boys are watching! That horrible performance silliness.”

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick

“But I think I haven’t had that emotional love for a lady, which isn’t saying it could never happen to me, but I think I’m more of an Emily than a Stephanie,” she added.

This isn’t the first time Kendrick has teased a lesbian relationship in her films.

Some fans of the Pitch Perfect franchise have rooted for her character Becca and Brittany Snow’s character Chloe, to be in a relationship — something Kendrick supports.

RELATED: Anna Kendrick Taunts Ryan Reynolds After Beating Him at Teen Choice Awards: ‘Stay in Your Lane’

“I definitely wanted to have an ending that was a Bechloe ending, and we did shoot one version where Brittany and I tricked everybody into just shooting one that was just the two of us getting together,” she revealed.

“We knew it was a long shot. It meant so much to us that there was this following around their latent relationship and, yeah, I thought it would’ve been really cool if it would have ended up coming to fruition in the end,” Kendrick added. “If we ever do a [fourth film], I will fight tooth and nail for it, but I’m not sure it’s gonna happen.”

A Simple Favor is in theaters Sept. 14.

The record deal that Taylor Swift signed when she was 15 is about to come to an end

The record deal that Taylor Swift first signed when she was 15-years-old is about to come to an end – sparking speculation about a bidding war for the star.

According to Variety, the contract will come to an end in November, and Swift now stands to ‘make history’ with her next deal.

Having first signed to Big Machine Records for CEO Scott Borchetta back in 2006, Swift is now reportedly in talks with a number of major labels with a view of taking control of the rights of her master recordings. Big Machine currently receives 80% of her sales revenue.

“There’s no precedent to look to regarding the top-selling artist of the digital era becoming a total free agent,” said music industry lawyer Doug Davis of The Davis Firm. “Taylor Swift is at an extraordinary point in her career where she can write her own ticket in regards to the commercial terms and deal structure.

“If she is seeking to break financial records and extend with a major, she could have the biggest artist deal of the century so far. If she wants to be creative and choose an alternative structure for capitalization, she could create her own business model. It’s very exciting.”

Since signing her current deal, Swift has released five number one albums and sold over 40 million records. Speculation now surrounds her next move – whether she’ll go it alone with a DIY deal, sign with Universal, take on another major label or renew her current contract with better terms.

Taylor Swift

Swift recently made headlines when she praised her fans after they supported her during her sexual assault lawsuit against DJ David Mueller.

“Looking back, this exact day a year ago, I was not playing a sold-out stadium in Tampa, I was in a courtroom in Denver, Colorado”, she explained. “I was there for a sexual assault case and this day a year ago was the day the jury sided in my favor and said that they believed me.”

“I just think about all the people that weren’t believed, or the people who haven’t been believed, or the people who are afraid to speak up because they don’t think they will be believed”, she explained. “You guys have seen me going through so many ups and downs in my life, just due to the public nature of the way my life is.

“I just want to say I’m so happy to see you and to have you and to know you through the ups and the downs of my life. So, thank you for everything. Sorry, I just haven’t really talked about it and I’m just really not composed at all.”

Selena Gomez Is Empowering Her Fans Through Her Newest Puma Designs

The “Back to You” singer, 26, is not only on a mission to make women look and feel amazing through her Puma designs, but she’s also striving to empower her fans through both her music and her activewear lines. Which is why the DefyxSG sneaker, which launches on September 18 and touts the initials “SG,” doesn’t only represent herself; the shoe also represents the “Strong Girls” she hopes to reach through the launch.

“The whole point is to take the focus away from me; it’s about what I believe in and what I choose to do with the platform I’m given,” she tells Footwear News about her partnership with the brand, which is celebrating 70 years. “It’s much bigger than me and it’s much bigger than Puma — it’s about how you feel.”

For Gomez, how she feels in the moment has strongly impacted the collections that she’s created with Puma. “I take cues from music that inspires me, movies that inspire me, artists that inspire me,” she explains. “I love learning from all kinds of people. So for me, it comes from the mood or moment I’m in.”

And yes, the star faces challenges in her everyday life. Last year, she had a kidney transplant due to complications from Lupus. And recently, she was faced with a social media controversy when designer Stefano Gabbana referred to her as “ugly” in an Instagram comment. But Gomez says she stays true to herself, no matter what’s said about her.

“It’s OK that I’m not accepted this way. It’s OK that I’m nice and not intense. I don’t really care,” Gomez shared. “I have to express my message to myself more than my fans. I would say that ‘I get it, I’m like you.’”

And at the end of the day, the most important quality she hopes to spread is simple: strength.

“It’s strong — I never forgot to say the word ‘strong,'” Gomez says of her designs. “The whole point of my line is for any woman who dresses up in athletic wear to feel strong and beautiful.”

Mike Shinoda on the challenge of stepping up as a solo artist: “This is not the hand that any of us wanted to be dealt”

Mike Shinoda has spoken further about meeting the challenge of stepping up as a solo artist this year – watch NME‘s latest interview with the musician above.

The Linkin Park musician has embarked on a solo career in 2018, with his debut album ‘Post Traumatic’ emerging in June. The conception and writing of that record emerged in the months following the tragic death of Shinoda’s bandmate Chester Bennington, who died at the age of 41 in July 2017.

Speaking to NME ahead of his set at Reading Festival this weekend, Shinoda reflected on how he’s adapted to becoming a solo artist in the wake of Bennington’s passing.

“It was [a step up],” he said. “There are a lot of elements of putting out the music, getting on stage, doing certain songs. Some things are harder than others, y’know? I always make at least one moment during the set to pay tribute to Chester, and to give the fans – who, you know, were so touched by our songs with him – that moment of celebration.

“I never want my show to be a sad thing at all, but it feels totally appropriate and healthy to have that moment. And some fans really need that.”

Shinoda later added that he has been keen to instill a “celebratory” tone to his music and shows.

“After I put out the album, started playing some shows and seeing the fans in person – like I said before, the tone is much more celebratory,” he said. “You know, this is not the hand that any of us would have wanted to be dealt, but if this is what I’m dealing with, then I’m going to make the most of it.”

During his set at Reading, Shinoda paid tribute to Bennington during a special moment in his set.

Mariah Carey Spills Details on Her Upcoming Album and Says She's 'Having a New Moment' in Life

“I’ve been working on my new album for a while. This is a labor of love and I’m really excited,” the superstar — who is extending her “The Butterfly Returns” residency at Caesars Palace into 2019 with new dates in February — tells PEOPLE exclusively. “This is me at this moment in my life being able to express myself as a writer and a singer. I’m just really in a good place.”

While her album will feel “current,” the singer insists she’s not trying to follow “anybody else’s trends.”

“My fans just want to hear me express myself and speak from the heart and sing from the heart,” says Carey. “Some of the record is lighthearted and fun, and some [songs] I really went deep in terms of the lyrical content. There’s a nice cross-section of things.”

And when she returns to the Vegas stage in February, Carey is also looking forward to changing up her set list again.

The Grammy winner is also keeping busy this summer with her 7-year-old twins Morrocan and Monroe.

Her kids — with ex-husband Nick Cannon — are also growing up quickly and developing unique personalities.

“They love each other and are best friends, but [now] they’ll do things without each other,” she says. “For the most part they’re with each other all the time. I just hope they maintain that for the rest of their lives. There’s nothing like the bond that they share.”

Adds the star: “They light up my life and are amazing.”

Taylor Swift Performs 'Tim McGraw' with Its Namesake and Wife Faith Hill — See the Video!

During the latest stop on her record-breaking Reputation Stadium Tour, Taylor Swift brought some very special guests on stage to help her finish her performance of her first-ever single, “Tim McGraw.”

At the show, the country-turned-pop superstar, 28, performed the first part of the song with a piano solo before declaring, “Make some noise for Faith Hill, Nashville.”

After Hill, 50, appeared and gave Swift a big hug, the duo sang the second verse and chorus together before the real Tim McGraw joined Swift and his wife on stage. McGraw, 51, performed the song’s bridge solo, and then all three artists brought it home for the emotional finale.

At one point, the newly engaged supermodel, 26, turned around and put her phone on selfie mode to record herself singing along to Swift’s hit tune.

“No one puts on a show like @taylorswift 🎤? #ReputationTour Nashville was out of this world, I am SO proud of you,” Kloss captioned an Instagram of the duo.

The Reputation Stadium Tour has been full of memorable moments for the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer and her fans. At her stop in Tampa, Florida, on Aug. 14 — the one-year anniversary of her 2017 groping trial, where she was famously awarded a symbolic $1 following her case against former radio host David Mueller — she gave an impassioned speech about the experience and her support for others who have been in a similar situation.

“A year ago I was not playing in a stadium in Tampa, I was in a courtroom in Denver, Colorado,” Swift bravely began her speech, which ended with the audience holding up $1 bills in support of the star. “This is the day the jury sided in my favor and said that they believed me.”

“I guess I just think about all the people that weren’t believed and the people who haven’t been believed, and the people who are afraid to speak up because they think they won’t be believed,” Swift continued.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry to anyone who ever wasn’t believed because I don’t know what turn my life would have taken if somebody didn’t believe me when I said something had happened to me,” she added.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz says he’d ‘love’ the band to explore a Jamaican, ‘dancehall-y’ sound

Pete Wentz has said that he would “love” Fall Out Boy to explore a “dancehall-y” sound as he discussed genre, the band’s longevity, and no longer living in a ‘monoculture’. Check out NME‘s interview from Reading 2018 above.

The band, who released their surprise EP ‘Lake Effect Kid’ earlier this week, topped the bill at this year’s Reading & Leeds. They took to the main stage on Friday night (August 24) at the southern leg of the event, following performances from The Kooks and Travis Scott.

Speaking to NME backstage at the event, bassist Pete Wentz spoke about where he would like Fall Out Boy’s sound to go next – with the group attempting to mix things up with each record.

“I would love to do something dancehall-y,” Wentz revealed. “I don’t ever want to be the band that jumps the shark – you’ve never heard us do like a rap verse or something like that.”

The musician added that growing up frequently visiting Jamaica with his family has inspired him to explore the dancehall genre.

“I think it would be cool to do something and see how that infected the sound,” he added.

The band also discussed what they think is the key to their longevity. “I think with Fall Out Boy we have a couple of things,” Wentz said. “We’re all friends with each other and having that base foundation is really important, as cheesy as it is to say that.

“Beyond that, I think that when we put out the record ‘From Under the Cork Tree [the band’s second album], which was like our debut to the world at large, I think on the next record [‘Infinity on High’] we decided to change our sound.”

Wentz added that the band taking a three or four-year hiatus between albums meant they returned with the “sonic landscape being completely different”.

“Serendipity was involved,” he added. “We were lucky.”

Reviewing Fall Out Boy’s huge Reading Festival set, NME concluded: After a decade performing at the festival Fall Out Boy’s well-earned headline slot was slick, sharp and a hell of a lot of fun, and really, what more could you ask for?”

Reading Festival concludes this evening (August 26) with a headline show from Kings of Leon, who will follow The Vaccines and Courteeners on the main stage.
