BoJack Horseman is back with a new show and old problems in season 5 trailer

After the season 5 trailer of BoJack Horseman wasn’t released on Monday (Zach Braff’s old trailer isn’t as nice as you’d think), the first footage of the Netflix original animated series was unveiled on Tuesday.

“This is going to be a sensational season of television,” boldly predicts Flip McVicker (Rami Malek), the creator of BoJack’s (Will Arnett) new dark police series Philbert.

The return to television for the Horsin’ Around star clearly hasn’t served as a magical fix for BoJack, who declares, “I am a bad guy and the world needs to know.”

BoJack Horseman‘s new season premieres Sept. 14 on Netflix.

Serial sets season 3 return with look inside the criminal justice system

Serial initially explored the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee and the subsequent imprisonment of her ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed. Its sophomore season followed American Army soldier Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who was held for five years by the Taliban and later charged with desertion. Now, the series is set to tackle the entire criminal justice system by illustrating a year inside Cleveland criminal courts for season 3.

Hosted by journalist Sarah Koenig, the Peabody Award-winning Serial has more than 16 million downloads per episode, making it the most popular podcast ever released. With such a wide reach, Koenig chose to use the show’s tremendous platform to expose shocking behind the scenes details of criminal court procedures. The radio personality and reporter Emmanuel Dzotsi spent a year working on the forthcoming season, for which they were given permission to record inside courtrooms, judges’ chambers, back hallways, and attorneys’ offices. The show will take listeners through the sometimes unsettling ways in which crimes are investigated and tried.

“Every case Emmanuel and I followed, there came a point where we thought: No, this can’t be how it works,” said Koenig in a press release. “And then we were like, Oh! Oh my god. This is how it works! This is how it happens! People who work in the system, or have been through the system, they know this. But millions more people do not. And for the past year I’ve had this urgent feeling of wanting to kind of hold open the courthouse door, and wave people inside. Because things are happening — shocking things, fascinating things — in plain sight.”

The first two episodes will debut on Sep 20, with each additional episode premiering weekly on Thursdays. Several stories will be highlighted over the course of the season, with some being wrapped into a single episode and others unveiled over multiple installments.

House of Cards teaser implies Frank Underwood is dead

It seems like we finally have some(?) clarity on the status of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in the final season of House of Cards: He. Dead.

Or is he? Could this be a dream sequence?

It’s not unsurprising given that Spacey and Cards parted ways after sexual misconduct claims against the actor surfaced last fall. The Cards team decided to continue on an finish the final season without Spacey and, it seems, Frank.

Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) ended season 6 as the President and it appears she’s determined to build a legacy that will stand the test of time.

Standing in front of Frank’s grave (he’s buried next to his father), she says coldly, “I’ll tell you this, though, Frances. When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line.”

Willem Dafoe brings Vincent van Gogh's vision to life in 'At Eternity's Gate' trailer

The Oscar-nominated actor stars as the renowned Dutch painter in Julian Schnabel’s (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) impressionistic biopic about the final days of Vincent van Gogh (Dafoe)’s life. The trailer for At Eternity’s Gate takes the audience inside the troubled mind of the famed artist as he questions his abilities, faces ridicule and skepticism and creates his iconic art.

“A grain of madness is the best of art,” says Dafoe as van Gogh, who suffered from psychotic episodes and delusions, and famously cut off part of his ear in anger — an incident which ended his friendship with fellow artist Paul Gauguin played by Oscar Isaac in this rendition. Rupert Friend, Emmanuelle Seigner and Mads Mikkelsen also take on supporting roles.

At Eternity’s Gate is set to close the NY Film Festival on Oct. 12 at Manhattan’s Alice Tully Hall and will be released in select theaters on Nov. 16.

First Bono lost his voice, and now so has Dave Grohl.

On Monday, the Foo Fighters announced that they would have to reschedule two Canadian dates on their Concrete and Gold tour due to Grohl’s sudden loss of his voice.

Days earlier, on Saturday, U2 were forced to abandon their show in Berlin, Germany midway through when Bono “suffered a complete loss of voice.”

Grohl’s voice had also gone on Saturday, Billboard reported, after the band’s show at Seattle’s Safeco Field.

“That’s the last time I ever make out with Bono,” Grohl, 49, joked in a statement on Twitter.

The Foo Fighters, who are currently out on their Concrete and Gold tour, will now play at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Oct. 22 (rather than on Tuesday, as previously scheduled). The Calgary, previously scheduled for Thursday at Scotiabank Saddledome, will now take place Oct. 23.

Tickets previously purchased will be honored for new dates, and refunds will be available at the point of purchase until Sept. 25. The Concrete and Gold tour is set to kick up again on Saturday in Vancouver at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena.

Meanwhile, Bono and U2 will be back on stage Tuesday at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

“I’ve seen a great doctor and with his care I’ll be back to full voice for the rest of the tour. So happy and relieved that anything serious has been ruled out,” Bono wrote on their website, adding, “my relief is tempered by the knowledge that the Berlin audience were so inconvenienced.”

U2 will return to Berlin on Nov. 13, for that rescheduled show on their Experience + Innocence Tour.

George Clooney Is All Smiles as He Wraps Filming in Italy After Scary Scooter Crash

George Clooney was spotted celebrating with the crew as Catch 22 finished filming in Santa Teresa Gallura, Italy. Clooney has been in the European country all summer as he split time between filming the Hulu limited series and spending time in his Villa in Lake Como with wife Amal Clooney and their 1-year-old twins Ella and Alexander.

Clooney, 57, was seen wearing a white polo over khaki pants and white sneakers for his last day of shooting last week. The wrap comes just a month after the actor got into a serious scooter crash on his way to set.

On July 10, the actor was rushed to the hospital after his scooter slammed head-on into a car that appeared to turn into his lane. In a video of the accident, which was captured by a security camera, the Oscar winner was launched into the air following the crash, landing in a dazed heap on the road.

Although he was later released from the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, that didn’t stop Amal from staying by his side for several days after the accident.

Amal wouldn’t leave his side,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “It was obvious that she was concerned.”

Another close source previously told PEOPLE that both his and Amal’s families “were very worried and on the telephone reassuring one another, saying how lucky George was.”

“He could have been killed,” the source added.

Fortunately, the actor, who had been en route to the Sardinia set of the show, was wearing a helmet (which reportedly cracked on impact) at the time of the accident.

Salma Hayek Beams During Birthday Celebration: '52 Here I Come!'

The Mexican actress celebrated her big day by posting a beaming shot on Instagram for her fans. Sitting cross-legged on a lounge chair, Hayek looks up and to the left of the camera as she smiles wide in a sparkly black dress. The barefoot actress is also showing off two sizable rings on her right hand.

Hayek also uploaded a sweet boomerang of the moment she blew out her candles on her special day.

“52 here I come!” the actress wrote in both English and Spanish.

52 here I come! 52, ahí les voy!

A post shared by Salma Hayek Pinault (@salmahayek) on Sep 2, 2018 at 1:13pm PDT

The celebration comes just a week after her husband Francois-Henri Pinault surprised her with a vow renewal ceremony. Hayek first married the French billionaire on Valentine’s Day 2009 in the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondissement in Paris, France — two years after welcoming now ten-year-old daughter Valentina. Months later, the couple tied the knot again in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy.

“The summer is coming to an end and my best moment was when my husband surprised me with a vow renewal- it was not what I would have chosen to wear to my wedding but I was told I was going to the spa!” Hayek wrote on Instagram about the renewal.

For the big day, Hayek wore a red gown and carried a bouquet of white flowers. The Instagram also shows Hayek and Pinault in matching flower wreaths after they were given a second certificate of marriage.

Dave Bautista Says He May Not Return to Guardians of the Galaxy After Director James Gunn's Firing

Dave Bautista said on The Jonathan Ross Show that he is unsure whether he wants to return to the franchise in the wake of Walt Disney Studios decision to fire director James Gunn.

“To be honest with you, I don’t know if I want to work for Disney,” Bautista said.

He explained, “There’s a bit of an issue. It’s a bittersweet conversation. No, it’s a bitter, bitter conversation because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn. They’re putting the movie off. It’s on hold indefinitely.”

Bautista added, “I’ve been very vocal about the way I feel. I’m not afraid to admit the way I feel … I don’t think I’m your typical Hollywood guy.”

Disney fired Gunn from the third film in July after conservative personalities and Twitter users dug up Gunn’s old tweets joking about pedophilia and rape.

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him,” Walt Disney Company chairman Alan Horn said in a statement on July 20.

Bautista has been public about his feelings regarding the controversy. In August, he vented his frustrations on Twitter.

“I will do what Im legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for. GOTG w/o @JamesGunn just isn’t GOTG. Its also pretty nauseating to work for someone who’d empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis,” he wrote. “That’s just how I feel.”

He told ShortList that he would only come back to the franchise if Gunn’s script was used.

“Where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script, then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract, cut me out or recast me,” Bautista said.

Recalling his anger after Gunn was fired to ShortList, “I spoke to Chris Pratt the day after it happened, and he’s a bit religious, so he wanted time to pray and figure it out, but I was more like: F— this. This is bull—-. James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met.”

Guardians of the Galaxy cast members — including Pratt, Zoë Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Bautista — wrote an open letter defending Gunn in July.

Although I don’t support James Gunn’s inappropriate jokes from years ago, he is a good man. I’d personally love to see him reinstated as director of Volume 3. If you please, read the following statement- signed by our entire cast.

A post shared by chris pratt (@prattprattpratt) on Jul 30, 2018 at 9:41am PDT

“My words of nearly a decade ago were, at the time, totally failed and unfortunate efforts to be provocative,” Gunn said in a statement. “I have regretted them for many years since — not just because they were stupid, not at all funny, wildly insensitive, and certainly not provocative like I had hoped, but also because they don’t reflect the person I am today or have been for some time.”

He wrote, “Regardless of how much time has passed, I understand and accept the business decisions taken today. Even these many years later, I take full responsibility for the way I conducted myself then. All I can do now, beyond offering my sincere and heartfelt regret, is to be the best human being I can be: accepting, understanding, committed to equality, and far more thoughtful about my public statements and my obligations to our public discourse. To everyone inside my industry and beyond, I again offer my deepest apologies. Love to all.”

Kristen Stewart Gets Candid About Sexuality: 'Ambiguity Is My Favorite Thing Ever'

The 28-year-old actress graces the cover of Paris-based Mastermind Magazine where she gets real about how it’s best to keep some things unanswered.

“Yeah, ambiguity is my favorite thing ever. In terms of sexuality? For sure,” she says. “And also in making films, if you perfectly answer every question, you don’t allow for people to have their own experience and really indulge a thought. I feel the same way about how we f— each other. You don’t want to know everything all the time.”

Kristen Stewart for <em>Mastermind</em>

Stewart has been linked to both men and women in the past, and confirmed during her Saturday Night Live monologue in 2017 that she was “like, so gay.” She’s been most recently spotted out with model Stella Maxwell.

In the interview, Stewart also expressed how important it is for movies to feature more coming of age stories in which women learn about their bodies in the way men have always done on screen.

“Right now, I’m so aware of the fact that we’ve watched, cinematically, men and their way into their bodies and do physical things that feel fundamental to this male perspective,” she says. “In every coming of age story we see about a young girl, even if it’s the truest, most sincere thing, what’s lacking is the physical honesty of actual female experience and the way we discover our bodies. It’s like we’re scared of using certain words.”

Stewart says she’s writing a movie now that will deal with those topics.

“My favorite line in this movie I’m currently writing is, ‘I thought about Sienna Torres and her shoving her hand into my wide-open c— about as wide as a mouth saying m—-f—-,’ ” she recites. “That’s not something people would be comfortable hearing, up until right now, but I think it’s the perfect time. There’s nothing dirty about it, but I’m definitely going to be vulgar, and I’m definitely going to be completely unabashedly open about the fact that we’re entirely sexual beings.”

In honor of her 48th birthday on Saturday, the Top Chef host shared a bikini photo as she mused on how her attitude about her body has changed as she’s gotten older.

“It takes time to develop as a person,” she wrote.” Sometimes in the entertainment industry I don’t think we give women that chance. Men become distinguished and women become ‘old news.’ ”

Lakshmi added, “In truth, I feel better about my body now, even after breastfeeding, gravity, etc. than I did in my 20’s. I’m not riddled with insecurity as I was. I eat well and bust my butt in the gym.”

She also shared that addition to feeling less insecure about her body, as she’s gotten older she’s “learned to be thankful for what I have rather than focus on what I don’t.”

Lakshmi continued, “My home life and my career are doing just fine. To many more years of learning and growing.”

Along with the bikini photo, Lakshmi also posted a photograph of herself posing with her 8-year-old daughter Krishna Thea, whom she shares with ex Adam Dell.

The mother of one has frequently been open about embracing her body and her love of food, sharing a photograph of herself lying in a bed while flaunting her stretch marks last November.

“Hey stretch,” she wrote alongside her leg, as she looked off camera. Heart emojis were also used and placed around her head, as she smiled.

Opening up about the source of her youthful glow, Lakshmi told People in March that “my secret is my diet.”

“I think the reason people don’t believe I am the age that I am is because I always ate well in my 20s,” she said. “What you eat shows up on your skin, on your hair, on your nail [and] on the whites of your eyes. And people don’t realize that!”

Overall, however, Lakshmi credits her dedication to living a healthy lifestyle as her ultimate go-to beauty secret.

“I really didn’t take sun or at least not without a lot of sunblock,” she said. “And I eat 50 percent fruits and vegetables, fruits and vegetables of all colors. That really, really, makes a difference.”
