By Annie Reuter

Country fans have been waiting years for a duets album from Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. It turns out that 2015 just might make this wish a reality.

According to Country Standard Time , Brooks addressed the idea of a possible duet album with his wife during a press conference at TD Garden in Boston last week.

“We are trying to get it out this year,” he said. “We’ll test the waters.”

While Brooks admitted that no songs have been recorded, he promised a fresh take on a duets album.

“It’ll be a duets album, but it will not be like what you’ve seen before. She’s got a lot of strong ideas.”

Yearwood also hinted that a joint record is on the way.

“Yes, [a duets record is] absolutely on the list,” she recently told Taste of Country . “That was one of the things that was important to us. We wanted to be on the same label so that we could do that easily.”

With both Brooks and Yearwood currently on a world tour together, it’s the perfect time to try out some of those forthcoming duets.
