Actress and musician Zendaya recently took offense to Giuliana Rancic’s comments about her hair on the Oscar red carpet, when Rancic commented on the E! show Fashion Police that Zendaya’s dreadlocks made her “feel like she smells like patchouli oil. Or maybe weed.”

Zendaya posted a response after the incident, calling the critique “a large stereotype [and] outrageously offensive.” Since then, Rancic has publicly apologized, causing Zendaya to once again take to social media to comment on the events.
“Body shaming and other tactics will never get the job done…I appreciate your apology and I’m glad it was a learning experience for you and for the network,” Zendaya said, adding, “I hope that others negatively affected by her words can find it in their hearts to accept her apology as well.”

Rancic has not yet commented on this second response from Zendaya.
