The promise of new Prince music over the weekend from Prince’s since-deleted Facebook page no doubt had many fans eager. Unfortunately, it turns out that the singer’s page was hacked, Consequence of Sound reports.
The “Purple Rain” singer joined Facebook back in October for a fan Q&A and after answering one question promptly deleted his account. Earlier today, his Facebook page was re-activated with a slew of messages promising new music today while teasing possible remixes.

“Clouds remix? Revelation? 1000 Hugs and Kisses New? Or This Could Be Us Remix?” the hacker playfully toyed.
The messages then continued and verged on self-deprecating and insulting.
“My name is Prince and all I do is use people to get what I want and sit alone on my computer all day calling up celebrities I want to bone because I don’t know how to be friends with anyone but I am a user,” one stated.
Another, read “I pay in omelets.” While yet another said, “Bring omelets to my next show, free entry.”
While the promise of new music has proved to be false, all this breakfast talk has us hoping that Prince will host another pajama party. Pancakes and omelets optional.
