13 Times Students Completely Disappeared on 'Saved By The Bell'

Is there anyone who wouldn’t have loved graduating from Bayside High (especially those of us who went to an all-male high school, and would have killed to see a Kelly Kapowski in the hallway)? It seemed like an idyllic high school.

Not everything, however, is how it seems.

There was a big, unspoken, issue with Bayside High: the place was a Bermuda Triangle for students.

Unless you were a member of the core group, you enrolled at Bayside, were seen once or twice, and then disappeared forever ... even if you were related to someone in the core group. Heck, even members of Zack’s crew disappeared!

Here are 13 students who went MIA at Bayside High.

Jessie's Step Brother Eric

Eric accomplished a lot in just two episodes. He moved in with Jessie, stole her room, blackmailed Zack and Slater, took apart Belding’s car (and put it back together), aggressively hit on Lisa, and eventually went on a date with her...and then, despite being Jessie’s step brother, living in her house, going to Bayside and being romantically involved with Lisa, we never saw him again.

Slater's Sister JB

Another sibling who was gone in an instant. Slater’s little sister, JB, arrived at Bayside, Zack took an interest, Slater initially disapproved, but then everything ended well at the school’s sock hop, where Slater gave Zack and JB his blessing. Despite the possible romance, JB’s status as a student at Bayside and her being Slater’s sister, we never saw her again.

Girl Wrestler Kristy Barnes

Christy Barnes proved she could hang with the boys and sparked a protest when she wasn’t allowed on the wrestling team. After becoming a member of the team, and having a brief misunderstanding with Jessie, she dated Zack, saved Zack and won a big wrestling match. You’d think dating Zack and being on a team with Slater would make her a pretty visible student, but, alas, we never saw her again.

Slater's Former Girlfriend Jennifer

Slater found himself in some hot water when his ex-girlfriend from Germany, that he technically never broke up with, showed up at Bayside. What are the odds! Issues with both Jessie and Jennifer arose, and were exacerbated by Zack and Jennifer taking a liking to each other. After some elderly cross-dressing by Zack and Jessie, we learned Slater and Jennifer are just friends. Jennifer's greatest claim to fame was that she revealed what the AC in AC Slater stood for: Albert Clifford. Despite being friends with Slater, dating Zack and being enrolled at Bayside, we never saw her again.

Environmental Guy Graham

Making his voice heard at a student council meeting, Graham was upset that the school was going to receive a shipment of Styrofoam cups. Inspired, Jessie agreed they needed to stop the delivery of the cups — the only problem was the delivery was scheduled for the students’ annual “cut day.” Graham and Jessie stuck around, and even though they appeared to have never met before, it turned out they were in the same history class.

Although their protest failed, the two had such a good time trying to save the earth, and Slater and Kelly had such a good time hanging out on “cut day,” this was the day Jessie and Slater decided to see other people. Basically, Graham ruined love, and despite being in a class with Jessie and Zack, and Jessie taking a liking to him, we never saw him again.

Lisa's Intellectual Jerk Brian

Brian Watkins, student council vice president, and all around intellectual snob, was the apple of Lisa’s eye during a date auction to raise money for new cheerleading uniforms. While Lisa won herself a date with Brian, he turned out to be a complete jerk, so she dumped him. Despite being the VP to Jessie’s position of student council president, we never saw him again.

Zack’s Auction Date Wendy Parks

At the same date auction, Zack earned the highest bid, but it was by Wendy Parks, a big girl he had no interest in, so he attempted to get out of going out with her. In the end Zack learned a valuable lesson about getting to know people for who they are on the inside, but we still never saw Wendy again.

Gold Digger Robin

Robin (played by Soleil Moon Frye) was Bayside’s resident gold digger. Zack attempted to go out with her, but she was unimpressed by his classic car, wanting her man to have something brand new. Robin latched on to Screech when he became a pasta sauce magnate, but when he came to grips with the reality of the situation and realized how much he’d spent on her, the gang found a unique way to get his money back, and we never saw Robin again.

SAT Girl Heather Brooks

Heather Brooks (played by Christine Taylor) was awestruck by Zack’s score of 1502 on the SAT and wanted to study with him. Unfortunately for Zack, she brought her boyfriend along for the study date. Heather then moved to Arizona to work on a dude ranch...or something like that. As far as Bayside goes, we never saw her again.

Cynthia From Malibu Sands

Cynthia (played by Denise Richards) had a secret crush on Slater during the gang’s summer at the Malibu Sands beach club. She didn’t make her presence known, however, until the final day of the summer, faking a drowning in order to be rescued by her crush. At the end of summer luau it was revealed she’d be going to Bayside in the fall. If she did, she sure didn’t make her presence felt, because after the luau we never saw her again.

New Student Joanna

Joanna was the new girl in school at the start of the gang’s senior year, and both Zack and Slater wanted to go out with her. They each sabotaged each other’s dates, eventually leading to a fight. The BFFs made up after spilling punch all over each other at a party, and when it came to Joanna, we never saw her again.

Jessie and Kelly

Two of Bayside’s favorites, Jessie and Kelly, completely disappeared for part of their senior year with not a single word said about them. They were seemingly erased from the gang’s memory until their re-arrival just in time for graduation. How Zack was in danger of not graduating, while those two didn’t attend classes for half the year and were still in good academic standing, is one of Bayside’s great mysteries.
