Liz Huett's debut music video shows why you should be obsessed with her

The singer — who cut her teeth singing backup for Taylor Swift on tour for three and a half years — earned a spot on EW’s Must List earlier this summer with her debut single, which fuses the melodies and storytelling of country music (the California native moved to Nashville after high school) with the slick sheen and force of radio-friendly pop (she co-wrote the song with the Futuristics, the production duo behind recent hits from Selena Gomez and Machine Gun Kelly). “‘STFU & Hold Me’ is about wanting your significant other to just be there for you, no matter how difficult the challenges may be,” says Huett, who’s readying an EP.
