Listen To Marcus Alan Ward’s “Devil In Popular Culture” Exclusively On Myspace!

Marcus Alan Ward knows how to artfully mix and mash different genres. That’s especially true on “Devil In Popular Culture,” the newest single from the Cleveland, OH-based musician. It’s an electro-laced R&B song — but it also brings in industrial elements and an epic '70s guitar solo. And, surprisingly, everything fits.

"'Devil In Popular Culture' is a psychedelic commentary on the adverse effects of social media, oversharing, and surveillance," says Marcus Alan Ward to Myspace. "I think it taps into an increasing paranoia and cultural unease that's present in 2016. Sonically it's a healthy mix of soul, garage rock, electro and beyond. I had lots of fun with this one."

Sit down, take a breath and lose yourself in Marcus Alan Ward's funky world below.
