Kanye West’s career behind the boards stretches back more than a decade, to the late ’90s. Back then he got his start with Bad Boy Records’ original production team The Hitmen, responsible for much of the label’s output over the course of the ’90s.
Now West is going full circle—he’s joining up with The Hitmen to help with Diddy’s new album.
West joins original members Chucky Thompson, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, Steven “Stevie J” Jordan, Mario Winans and Nashiem Myrick. They’re all in the studio with Diddy working on his next album, Making Money Mitch (MMM), his first release since Last Train to Paris in 2010.

Diddy shared the news in an Instagram post.
West has been behind the board more often lately compared to the past few years, contributing to Big Sean‘s new album and working with Justin Bieber, among others.
