Last week, news broke that Twin Shadow‘s tour bus was involved in a horrendous crash in Aurora, Colo., along with country duo Thompson Square. Foggy images depicting just how bad the accident was surfaced. Conflicting reports of the state of the crew and band members involved circulated.
Now the band has addressed the extent of the damage and injuries.
“There were 12 people on the tour bus consisting of band and crew. Everyone was taken to two local hospitals,” a statement from the band reads.

The passengers who suffered the worst impact were driver John Crawford and Twin Shadow drummer Andy Bauer, who “remain hospitalized, in serious condition.”
Frontman George Lewis Jr. was also affected by the accident and “will be undergoing reconstructive hand surgery this week.” Whether that’s on his guitar-playing hand or not, is unclear at the time.
“The band and crew send a heartfelt thanks to everyone in Colorado and beyond who have helped through this difficult time.”
With these announcements also comes the inevitable: the band has postponed tour dates in the immediate future. They’ll be rescheduling all shows that fall between April 21 and May 22.
