Forget the special effects and romantic love stories that we're used to seeing in music videos. At least that's what Cowboy Diplomacy did when they made their video for "Follow Me." Instead, they went for something a bit more straightforward. The Austin blues rock outfit give us a behind the scenes look at what happens when they're heading to a gig. It might be a simple idea, but for them, it's a little bit more than that.
"'Follow Me' is about following in a father figure's footsteps and passionately making the most of each day and experience," guitarist Zac Heckmann tells Myspace. "We feel the video really captures that passion for us."
Visuals aside, "Follow Me" is the band's way of going big in 2017.
"This past year has been a big one for us and we’re just beginning to hit our stride," Heckmann says. "'Follow Me' is the perfect song to come out of the gates with: it's a reflection on making the most of ourselves."
