— which saw Selena Gomez affectionately commenting on Demi Lovato’s post previewing her new documentary — the two pop stars have physically reunited.
Monday night, each walked the red carpet at the 2017 InStyle Awards and took a moment to pose together. (Gomez was in attendance to present an award, Lovato was present to accept the Advocate Award.)
Gomez and Lovato first met on Barney and Friends when both were just 7 years old. They’d go on to become Disney channel peers and, of course, vlogging BFFs by 2008. In 2009, they starred in Princess Protection Program in, the same year they released their anthemic duet “One And the Same.”
Things have clearly turned back around, however. After Gomez received a kidney transplant this year, Lovato raved to PEOPLE about her friend. “I think that she is a very strong woman,” she said. “I’m very happy and proud of her.”
