Video game designer/producer Shigeru Miyamoto, who is responsible for the iconic Super Mario Bros. theme song, joined The Roots last night to perform a jazzy version of the song. Front and center, he's definitely vibing with the house band. Midway through, Jimmy Fallon also joins in on the action with a cute Super Mario Bros. reference of his own.
Miyamoto made some of Nintendo's best-selling games, from Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong to The Legend of Zelda over the course of his 40 year career.
