Yoko Ono and John Lennon's public, rocky relationship will hit the silver screen in an upcoming feature film. Ono herself will produce the film alongside Michael De Luca (Moneyball, The Social Network), Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) and Josh Bratman.
"The story will focus on ripe and relevant themes of love, courage and activism in the U.S.— with the intention of inspiring today’s youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want," says De Luca in a statement.
Ono first met the Beatle at a London art gallery in November 1966, sparking a romance and artistic collaboration. The couple teamed up for several records as the Plastic Ono Band before Lennon's untimely passing in December 1980.
