Top 5 Tour Announcements of the Week

This week Blondie and Garbage team up for a tour, as well as Incubus and Jimmy Eat World. Plus, rock monsters Metallica announce their first US trek in over seven years. Here's who we're most excited to see hit the road.

Metallica 'WorldWired' Tour

In support of their new album, Hardwired... To Self-Destruct," iconic rockers Metallica have announced their first full-length U.S. tour in over seven years. The WorldWired tour kicks off on May 10 in Baltimore, MD, and wraps up on August 16 in Edmonton, Alberta. They'll also be headlining Rock on the Range Festival on May 21. Dispatch 'America, Location 12' Tour

Bust out those Birkenstocks, baby, 'cause Dispatch is back. The jam band has revealed plans for their first national tour in five years, along with a new single and upcoming album. Guster will join them for the America, Location 12 tour, which sees the two groups in the West, Southwest and East Coast, kicking off at Colorado's Red Rocks on June 16. Click here for more info.

 

Blink 182 'California' Tour

Blink 182 is hitting the road again, in continued support of their latest album California. The trio has just announced a fresh batch of U.S. tour dates, in addition to their previously scheduled European stint. The new shows see the rockers throughout the Southeast and west, beginning on March 22 at the Austin 360 Amphitheater. They’ll be joined by The Naked and Famous and Waaves as support. Incubus + Jimmy Eat World Tour

Incubus is gearing up for another go-round as they prepare to drop their first album in six years. To celebrate, they've announced a small batch of tour dates in which they'll be joined by emo legends Jimmy Eat World. The shows begin on July 14 at PNC Bank Pavilion in New Jersey, followed by more stops along the East Coast and Midwest. You can also catch them in Toronto, Texas and California. Blondie + Garbage 'Rage and Rapture' Tour

It's a match made in riot grrrl heaven, as Blondie and Garbage have teamed up for the Rage and Rapture tour. The summer tour will kick off on the West Coast in early July, with shows stretching from California to Colorado, Texas to NYC, and everywhere in between. Look out for Blondie's new album, Pollinator, coming out later this year. Click here for more info.
