10 Celebrity Hobbies You Would Never Predict

We may obsess over them all we want, but at the end of the day celebrities are like us. They need to unwind after all the long hours they put in and all the hard work they do on sets, tours and other professional ventures. Some like to chill and get chills while watching a horror flick, while others prefer to bond with fellow celebs during a fencing match and some can’t miss a new Barbie doll. Here are the 10 weirdest celebrity hobbies.

Selena Gomez

Hobby:
Watching scary movies

Apart from performing and producing 2017’s favorite Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Selena Gomez also loves watching movies — horror movies in particular, and '90s horror movies to be exact. So if you have an empty seat for your next Scream marathon, give Selena a call and she’ll probably love you like a love song forever.

Vin Diesel

Hobby:
Dungeons & Dragons

We expect Vin Diesel to dedicate all of his free time to the wonderland that is his local gym to keep those muscles intact, or perhaps running a top-secret FBI division consisting solely of action movie stars. But it turns out that the Fast & Furious star is just like us: a nerd. He loves role playing, but not in a way you’d expect from the xXx star. Diesel loves his Dungeon & Dragons very much — he’s been an avid since the '80s and doesn’t plan to slow down any time soon.

Nicki Minaj

Hobby: Cooking

Nicki Minaj has been “serving cake” for years in her not-so-subtle music videos, but the rapper/singer is actually pretty gifted when it comes to actual cooking. Judging by her Instagram, Minaj likes to cook island dishes, like King Fish or Plantains. And while we’re at it, we would like to pitch a Pink-tastic cookbook from Nicki dedicated to all sorts of desserts.

Taylor Swift

Hobby: Making snow globes

Instagram

You may be happy the summer is almost here, but Tay-Tay would probably be happier wearing a warm sweater, curled up in a cozy chair with snow falling behind her window, while making one of her elaborate glittery snowglobes. It’s okay, Taylor, you can still make them in summer and the world will just think it’s charmingly eccentric, like those subtle digs at ex-boyfriends and frenemies in your lyrics.

Kate Middleton

Hobby:
Coloring

Duchess of Cambridge could have picked any royal hobby she wanted, but she feels fine while working her way through the newest hipster craze: adult coloring books. We don’t blame the wife of Prince William at all — it’s surely a nice way to calm your nerves while letting your artsy flag fly.

Kendall Jenner

Hobby:
Playing Piano

Keeping up with the Kardashian/Jenner clan is getting progressively harder given the unhealthy hype around the socialites-turned-superstars. No wonder Kendall Jenner had to launch her own app to keep her fans updated with all things Kendall. Last year she used the app to announce that she was toying around with the idea of sitting down in front of the piano: “Everyone always says I’d be great at piano because I have such long fingers. I definitely want to learn in the near future, and even have the perfect spot in my condo to put one!”

Mila Kunis

Hobby: Playing video games

Mila Kunis stated numerous times that her fixation on video games wasn’t just a hobby — it was a full-blown addiction that started with her playing World of Warcraft day and night. She then tried quitting the game and had a “rebound” relationship with Call of Duty, which got her equally hooked.

Nicholas Cage

Hobby: Collecting comic books

Given the fact that Hollywood has been milking the comic book cow dry for several years now, it’s no surprise that more and more actors started paying closer attention to the source material. But in Nicholas Cage’s case, his obsession with comic books in general and Superman in particular is a life-long one, and a pretty intense one, too. First he got cast in the Superman Lives movie in the '90s, which was to be directed by Tim Burton but was eventually cancelled. Then in 2000 two rare comic books were stolen directly from Cage’s house. Guess he needs his own Superman as a security guard.

Will Smith

Hobby: Fencing

Where are the producers watching?! It’s been seven years since David Beckham, Will Smith and Tom Cruise revealed that they enjoy fencing together, and we’re still nowhere near the new adaptation of The Three Musketeers! “Tom has a room for training,” Smith revealed at the time. “We don’t get enough time to hang out, just us three guys, so this is his way of getting together and bonding. David and I go to his home and just do fencing. It’s a lot of fun.”

Johnny Depp

Hobby: Collecting Dolls

Given all of his pop culture might, Johnny Depp has a lot of dolls inspired by himself. But Depp loves collecting limited edition Barbies of fellow celebrities: from BeyoncĂ© to the High School Musical cast. Depp even revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he “tested” some of his most iconic characters on dolls — both Captain Jack and Willy Wonk have gotten the “Barbie treatment” before Depp set out to play them.
