10 Irish Celebrities We Want to Party with This St. Patrick's Day

Bust out your favorite green shirt and get ready to chow down on some corned beef, St. Patrick's Day is officially here. But everyone knows that St. Paddy's is better with friends, and sometimes the best friends are really just famous people you wish you could be friends with. If that's the case for you on this most Irish of holidays, we've got you covered.

Whether you're drinking Shamrock Shakes or green beer, here are the 10 Irish celebrities we'd most want to spend St. Patrick's Day with.

Conan O'Brien

Not only would the ginger master of late-night TV be a hilarious and entertaining friend to keep around on St. Patrick's Day, he'd also be the perfect host for that big party you're throwing (it is the weekend after all).

Plus, once everyone's too drunk to actually function, we've already seen how amazing Conan is on the joysticks with all of those Clueless Gamer segments.

Christina Aguilera

One of Irish Hollywood's hidden gems, Xtina actually gets the Irish blood in her veins through her mom's side.

Sure, she may be a little tamer and more mature now than she was back in the day, but who wouldn't want to throw a dance party with Ms. Aguilera? She's got the kind of energy we need every weekend.

Liam Neeson

We all have that one friend that we're super comfortable getting way too drunk around because we know they'll take care of any problems that arise, right? Well, imagine if that problem-solving friend was Liam Neeson, and his very particular set of skills from Taken.

Alright, maybe Neeson's not that much of a murderous badass in real life, but he still seems like an awesome guy to hang out with, and he could intimidate the pants off of any drunk bro starting to pick a St. Patrick's Day brawl.

Matthew McConaughey

Do we even have to explain this one? Hanging out with Matthew McConaughey on St. Paddy's or any other day would be better than alright, alright, alright.

Barack Obama

Yep, Obama is partially Irish, and he clearly knows how to handle a Guinness. Now that he's not the leader of the free world (or at least what's left of it), the former POTUS seems more like a friendly guy named "Barry" than ever.

He's been having a blast living his best life on family vacations in recent months, but he's more than welcome to bring the wife and kids along for any of our St. Patrick's Day festivities.

John Stamos

Better known for his Greek half, everyone's favorite TV uncle is also half-Irish. A Friday night with Mr. Stamos would always be welcome, but what better excuse to get together than a holiday centered around drinking and the pride of Ireland?

Plus, we'd have to be pretty liquored up to work up the courage to ask him how he felt about the glorious confession of love in Step Brothers.

Mariah Carey

While we're living out our '90s dreams with partially Irish celebrities, let's get Mariah Carey in there as well. There's no better diva in the world than Carey, and you know she can bring the attitude and excitement (as well as the adorable kids) to any event she's invited to.

These days, it seems like she could use the luck of the Irish, and we'd consider ourselves lucky because we wouldn't even have to invite Nick Cannon along too.

Tom Brady

Honestly, we wouldn't really want to hang out with Tom Brady. He's a great football player and an inspirational story and everything, but he doesn't seem like all that much fun and he's obviously a terrible dancer.

After you ask him about his role in Ted 2, how much more could you possibly discuss other than what it's like to be one of the best QBs of all time (and we're guessing he wouldn't want to talk about work all night). That said, if he brought along his wife and called up his buddy Rob Gronkowski, it could turn into a much more lively affair very quickly. Gronk is honorarily Irish or something like that, right?

Colin Farrell

Aside from being arguably the best-looking Irish actor in Hollywood (although Jamie Dornan might be closing the gap on that one), Colin Farrell is probably the most recognizable Irish face in the entertainment world (other than Bono, and he doesn't seem like he'd be fun to hang out with at all).

We would totally forgive him for that second season of True Detective over some corned beef and cabbage... Particularly if he told us how he always maintains the perfect amount of beard stubble.

Lindsay Lohan

Regardless of everything else that's gone on her life and career, we can all agree that a St. Patrick's Day with Lindsay Lohan would be one to remember (or not remember), right?
